The Steam Summer Sale 2022 kicks off with a mini-event from a time traveler named Clorthax. He will give you ten clues in the form of riddles, each one referring to a specific game on Steam. Your task is to answer all of them correctly by finding the right game in the Steam Store. Each successful answer will earn you a reward and a new level for the Steam 3000 Badge. This guide will teach you the answers for all Clorthax riddles. So read on if you are not in the mood for analyzing the clever clues.
Where to find Clorthax’s Quest in the Steam Store
Go to the Featured page of your Steam Store and click on the FREE FUN THIS WAY image and you will directed to the Clorthax mini-game. Scroll down and read the dialogue text until you reach the bottom where you can see how many clues are left. There are ten games in total and Clorthax will only give you one clue for each in the form of riddles.
Once you reveal the currently active clue, click the GO FIND IT button and you will be shown a catalogue of games under a specific category or genre. There are a few important notes about playing and progressing through Clorthax’s quest:
- You cannot solve a riddle by typing the correct game in the Store search bar and selecting it.
- Clorthax’s games are not real games that you can add to your cart or wishlist.
- The exact location of the games are random and will change when you refresh the catalogue. Check all categories and sub-categories just to be safe.

How to unlock the Steam 3000 Special Profile
Congratulations! You completed all ten Clorthax riddles for the Steam Summer Sale 2022 event. Now return to the Steam Store featured page and scroll all the way down to read a new message. You will receive a special profile called Steam 3000, which you can apply to your Steam account when you edit your profile.
The Steam Summer Sale 2022 began on June 23 and ends on July 7, 2022 at 10 am PST. You will only get one free trading card per day from the Discovery Queue, unlike in previous years where you can unlock three. Some players are also disappointed that the older Call of Duty games are still expensive. And if you were expecting a big discount on the Souls-like games, prepare to be disappointed because Bandai Namco did not mark down the prices of the Dark Souls trilogy. Aside from that, everything else is pretty much the same as any Steam Summer Sale.
Time to bust out your savings—assuming you still have some left—and snag those games that are on sale for up to 80% off.
