This guide will teach you how to complete the final story mission in Destiny 2 Season of the Lost. Queen Mara Sov is finally ready to exorcise the Hive Worm from Savathun. Protect her Techeuns from Xivu Arath’s forces to ensure the ritual’s success. This quest concludes Season 15 and the story will continue in the Witch Queen expansion pack.
STEP 1: Go to the HELM
Travel to the HELM and respond to an urgent message from the Awoken Queen.
STEP 2: Get the quest from the Wayfinder’s Compass
Listen to a short briefing from Queen Mara and claim the new quest entitled Severing the Worm.
STEP 3: Complete the Exorcism Quest
Equip your Anti-Barrier and Unstoppable mods and head to the Dreaming City. A new quest marker named Exorcism will appear to the right of Astral Alignment.
Exorcism takes place in the Blind Well. Your fireteam must first insert the Wayfinder’s Compass to begin the activity. Next, you must align three beacons scattered around the room while fending off hordes of Hive enemies. Step on the circle around each beacon to start the alignment process.
Your fireteam will be teleported outside once all three beacons are aligned. Move forward and enter the teleporter and you will end up in front of the Spire. You must Reinforce the Awoken Corsairs that are defending the entrance from Xivu Arath’s forces.
Proceed inside after you clear the entrance. Listen to Queen Mara and Saint-14 as they begin the exorcism ritual. Your job is to protect them from all the Hive forces spawning inside the tower. After a while, a large Hive Knight boss will appear. Defeat him and a very significant cutscene will begin. Don’t worry if someone in your fireteam skips the cutscene—yes, this is possible—because you will still get the triumph for completing the quest.
STEP 4: Talk to Mara Sov
The next phase of Severing the Worm will begin. Return to the HELM and visit Queen Mara through the portal. All you have to do is listen to what Her Majesty has to say.
STEP 5: Talk to Saint-14
Your last task for Severing the Worm is to go to the Tower hangar and talk to Saint-14. Listen to his words and the quest will be complete. So that wraps up the storyline for Season of the Lost.
