Halo Infinite players are in for another treat this week. A new event called Cyber Showdown will run from January 18 to February 1. Those who have are just fresh off the Fracture: Tenrai event last week should gear up again to collect a whole new arsenal of cosmetic rewards.
What’s New in Cyber Showdown?

343 Industries introduces a new game mode called Attrition. This is similar to Slayer mode except that your team shares a pool of limited lives. Kill enemies until their life pool is depleted, and then finish them off once and for all to win the match. Whenever a player revives a fallen ally, their team’s overall life pool decreases.
Aside from Attrition mode, Cyber Showdown also introduces players to a whole new reward track with cyber-themed rewards.
How to Unlock Event Rewards

Cyber Showdown adds a total of 10 Event Challenges that are distributed evenly throughout the standard Weekly Challenge list. Finishing them to unlock the following customization rewards:
- Expecting Trouble Rare Stance
- Electric Bubblegum Epic Weapon Coating
- Cross Glitch Rare Backdrop
- Brute Rock Legendary Backdrop
- Neon Screen Epic Armor Effect
- Electric Bubblegum Epic Armor Coating
- Kukri Epic Charm
- Blackpool Epic Visor
- Hunter Blood Rare AI Color
- Neon Hawk Epic Armor Effect
The final Cyber Showdown Event Challenge reward gives you Spartan a cool-looking Mohawk!
How to get a Free Spartan ID Backdrop
Even if you don’t have time to complete all Event Challenges, you can still acquire the New Heights Spartan ID backdrop. All players can unlock this reward as long as they play and complete one match at any point during the Cyber Showdown Event.

So what are you waiting for? Gather your fellow Spartans and play a few matches of Cyber Showdown – Attrition.
